- Flowers (mosquitos are attracted to nectar) or any plant or tree with leaves that hold water

How to Prevent Mosquito Breeding in Ponds
Preventing mosquito breeding in ponds can be a little bit more challenging since, after all, they are attracted to still water. Having said that, certain types of fish, such as goldfish, killifish and guppies eat mosquito larvae and prevent breeding. In addition to fish, keep the vegetation around your pond trimmed back and try keep the water flowing as much as possible, such as with a water pump.
